In this workshop you will use brainstorming, intriguing exercises, step-by-step guidelines and even humor to help support your decision journey. You will also learn self-exploration exercises to do alone or with your partner, and how to interrupt distracting self-talk so you can discover the right decision for you.

If you are in the process of making your childfree or parenthood choice, this workshop is for you! Individuals and couples of all orientations and family sizes are welcome. Although geared toward first child choice, much of our work will also apply to second child choices and beyond.

- Tune out pronatalist pressures,
- Overcome you terror of pregnancy and postpartum,
- Preserve your sense of self,
- Handle fear of regret and FOMO,
- Address environmental concerns,
- Plan with your partner to share the mental load, and
- Plan a childfree life that is joyful, meaningful and connected.
You might actually discover your decision during the workshop! But even if you don’t, you’ll have a better sense of your direction, and know exactly which steps to reach your decision.
By the end of the six hours, you will feel a sense of relief and hope from the work you’ve done. Past participants have shared that the experience of talking to other decision-makers overcame their isolation.

Interactive: We welcome lively discussions and respectful disagreement. In order to get the most out of this workshop, we encourage participants to keep their video cameras on, and engage in conversations.
Inclusive: All are welcome: LGBTQ+, unmarried couples, single by choice, pre-adoptive, pre-foster parents and 2nd child decision-makers.people contemplating or involved in fertility treatment.
Supportive: Our goal is to create an environment where participants feel safe and respected allowing for open and meaningful conversations.
